Culturally Safe Customer Service
With INTTN everyone is treated with dignity and respect, with their identity, culture and diversity valued. Our Customer Care and Services are culturally Safe.
Cultural Safety is used by organisations alongside Cultural Competency and Cultural Responsiveness to demonstrate their commitment to work and provide services which are welcoming and respectful of another person's culture.
In simple terms this means the following protocols are adhered to and followed:
1. We show respect: Ask permission/informed consent.
2. We seek cultural knowledge: Ask questions.
3. We demonstrate reciprocity: Learning goes both ways.
4. We engage community accompaniment: Share experiences, elders knowledge, mentors in community of practice.
